GETTING TO TECNOLÓGICO DE MONTERREY FROM THE AIRPORT

Tecnológico de Monterrey, simply referred as Tec by locals, is the largest private university in Mexico with 31 campuses in the country with its main campus located in Monterrey. Reaching the university from the airport, which is located in the southern part of the city, must be done by Taxi. After arriving to any of the airport terminals, look for a taxi kiosk in the lobby. Select the company of your preference and select a trip to ”Zone 3”. From the airport, Taxi rates are divided by zones with a flat rate to any point in each one of them.

The rate should be around $250 – $300 Mexican pesos (US$12 – $15). Follow the signs to the taxi pick-up point just outside of the terminal and once there, look for the sign of the taxi company you selected and a driver should pick you up in a few minutes.

Most drivers speak English, and if you just mention “Tec” as your destination they will be able to get you there. All suggested hotels are very close to the campus, if you wish to be taken directly to your hotel simply provide the address to the driver. You can also use services as Uber from the airport and in the city.
